Firefox View Source with Line Number and Column

Seeing the line number in the View Source window is something that I've wanted forever in Firefox. You're looking at a page you're working on and view the source to check on something, but there's no line number and you're reduced to copying and pasting into your favorite editor.

Not anymore.  It looks like this was included in Firefox 2.0 with the resolution of Bug #207656 in May, 2006. I'm not sure why it's taken me a year to notice this, and I could've sworn it wasn't there a few weeks ago. Hit Ctrl/Cmd+L to jump to a line.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/394?application=firefox&id=394 seems to be a nice extension that lets you view the source in your favourite editor, amongst other things. I haven't used this particular extension but used another one to do the same thing in the past. I don't think any improvements to Firefox's "View Source" would make me prefer it to Emacs!

Didn't know that was possible! I have been using Firefox and its search function for a long time, but didn't know that one to go to a specific line in the source code of a page. Thanks!

That is all fine and dandy, but you still don't see line numbers in a coloum on the side of the window. This is nice but not the same as line numbers.
