FlyClear Discount Code

Clear Pass
The Clear Pass is coming to the airports I fly from the most (DCA and DIA), and since I hate waiting in line, I've signed up. For anyone who hasn't heard of Clear, it's one of three Registered Traveler vendors in the US. Basically you pay $100, submit an iris scan and are given a smart card that you can use a dedicated airport security line.

It's similar to the benefits that most frequent flier programs give you when you attain a certain status, but works for every airline at select airports. Not much beats being able to show up at the airport 30 minutes before your flight.

During the Clear enrollment process Step 3 says:

Discount Code
If you have a discount code, please enter it here. The discount will only apply to Clear membership and will not apply to the TSA vetting fee unless otherwise noted.

It's actually a referral and not discount code, but signing up and using DSCAM1176660 as a Clear Discount Code will get both of us an extra free month of service.

If you're in the DC area you can sign up now and use your Clear pass at all participating airports, but your membership term won't officially start until the express lane at DCA or IAD opens up.

So, do us both a favor and use DSCAM1176660 as a Fly Clear Discount Code.

That's the end of my shameless mooching for the day.

Update: 10/26/08 Clear amended their Refer-a-friend terms to say:

You may distribute your code through personal communications, including your personal websites but any abuse of the Refer-a-friend discount will result in cancellation of your refer-a-friend code at Clear’s sole discretion.

Based on this I've removed the "Click to Show" on my Fly Clear Discount Code (DSCAM1176660).  With the price of a 1 year Clear membership jumping up from $99 to $199 the discount code is more valuable than ever.

Whoa — I didn't know it was coming to DCA, which could make my life pretty nice. I'll definitely be signing up at some point soon.

One thing, though: the page you pointed to with the info about what I get by using your referral code also says: "You cannot publicly post your Refer-A-Friend code." Ummm… I hope you don't get your membership revoked over it…

Thanks Jason, I've modified the post so people have to pass a basic test to prove they actually know me to get the referrer/discount code. Frontier has an offer through 7/31/08 to give Summit members a free one-year Clear membership so I've got a new referral code now and if someone did use my old one, I never benefited.

you can refer me and get your on year clear membership…
