OneNote – Much ado about nothing

I actually love OneNote, but this window has me confused.  Perhaps someone from the OneNote team could shed some light on what the progress bar is measuring?  It popped up after hitting CTRL+2 to tag an item and steadily reported on the progress of some nameless task for about 5 minutes.

I see the same problem (running XP) – only after hitting CTRL+1.
Worked last week.. have no clue what caused this.
It's really annoying – hope someone has a solution (other than wasting 5 minutes a dosen times a day)

I remember one of the sale arguments: "Office 2007 – increases your productivity" – well… :-)

Same Problem and it runs much longer than 5min.
After adding a Tag (here Ctrl-1) (this started yesterday, 1-Sept-2010!), I have to wait much more than 5 min to watch a progress bar stuck in the last 2% of completion.
Cancel needs two cancellations then the progressbar reappears with the next Todo task (CTRL-1).
    Program is basically unusable now.

    System:
Windows 7 / Office 2007 with actual patches
    OneNote File Version: 12.0.6500.5000
no suspicious network. memory or harddisk activity seen
No comment on the progress bar, no information about what is going on…

    Resolved the issue by (combined):
    - closing all workbooks
    - moving all documents from the "Unfiled Notes" into a new folder
    - closing OneNote
    - reopening OneNote
    - Adding the workbooks
    — now it is working :)
