Canadian Workplace Safety PSAs

These are brutal – very graphic and probably not worksafe.  They're produced by the Canadian WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) which seems similar to OSHA in the US except that their main purpose is apparently scare the living shit out of anyone who works or has ever considered working.

I heard about these on O&A this morning and couldn't believe they were real, but you can find more haunting videos on the WSIB site with taglines like "Will the worker go home with one hand or two?" and "Will a worker cut his life short with an unexpected fall?".

Christ, dude — did you post those first thing in the morning on purpose?! The only one I'd seen before was the poor lady getting scalded, and I thought that would be the worst of the bunch. No such luck :(

    Holy crap, those are insane!

I thought the top chef one at the end was clearly the most messed up… that tiny clip of her face all grease scalded almost made me throw up.

I like how, in true Canadian fashion, each person also takes part of the blame for the problem.
