I've got a feature enhancement request open with RIM to allow renaming of the software tokens stored in the BES (both on the device and in the BES Manager/BAS), and the last I heard, RIM was working with RSA on it. RSA soft tokens added to the user's BES profile will show up as Token 1 on the Blackberry RSA SecurID app. We actually use this method to remove old soft tokens and add new one's without having to send the user the soft token as an attachment. We've done this with 8700 up to 9630s. Not entirely correct.
